LISA M. BUCHANAN
Partner, Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrère & Denègre, LLP
Lisa M. Buchanan is a partner and member of the Corporate and Securities Section of the Woodlands, Texas office of the law firm of Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrère & Denègre, LLP. Ms. Buchanan has represented public and private companies in a wide variety of corporate and securities law matters for more than 16 years. Her experience includes acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and public offerings and private placements of securities. Ms. Buchanan also provides ongoing corporate and securities law advice to public companies, including compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, preparation of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements and press releases; implementation of anti-takeover defenses; compliance with stock exchange listing requirements; and corporate governance and general corporate advice.
Ms. Buchanan earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her law degree from Louisiana State University. She is admitted to the bars of Louisiana and Texas
