Edward Hau
Managing Director of Protiviti, Inc.
Edward Hau is a Managing Director of Protiviti, Inc. in the Technology Risk Consulting division, based in Chicago, Illinois. He concentrates his practice in the areas of information technology audit, project risk management; and application controls effectiveness. Prior to Protiviti, Inc., Mr. Hau was a partner with a Big Five audit and consulting firm, comprising a total of 15 years of service. He has an extensive background in a wide variety of industries, focusing primarily on telecommunications, energy and manufacturing. Mr. Hau has provided a wide range of technology risk and audit services to clients. He led a project team to evaluate the technical and process readiness of Operational Support Systems interfaces created by a Bell Operating Company (BOC). He has served as the Quality Assurance partner for several large-scale, multi-year project management consulting engagements. He led a controls evaluation project of a multi-million dollar financial systems conversion project for a BOC coordinated with the internal audit services function. Mr. Hau led a project team responsible for the integration, interoperability and performance testing among several business systems for a pre-launch wireless communications service provider. He has served as the Quality Assurance partner for several large-scale pre-implementation testing and risk management consulting engagements. Finally, he led the application and host security design and implementation, internal controls, functionality testing, capacity and stress testing activities for an $8 billion PeopleSoft implementation with a large media organization.
Mr. Hau earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh.
