L. Richards McMillan, II is a partner and member of the Corporate and Securities Section of the law firm of Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrère & Denègre, LLP, based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mr. McMillan served for more than a decade as head of the firm's Corporate and Securities Section and as a member and chairman of the Firm's Executive Committee. He practices corporate, securities and banking law, with emphasis on the representation of publicly held companies in securities law compliance, corporate finance, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. McMillan has broad industry experience, with significant representations of clients in banking, manufacturing, computer technology, and retailing. He also has business operational experience, having served as chairman and president of a privately held integrated manufacturing company producing water purification equipment.
Mr. McMillan earned his undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University, his law degree from Tulane Law School, and his LLM in Taxation from New York University Law School. He is admitted to the bar of Louisiana.
