Glenn M. Renwick
President & CEO of Progressive Insurance
Glenn M. Renwick is President and Chief Executive Officer of Progressive Insurance. Prior to being named CEO in January 2001, Mr. Renwick served as Chief Executive Officer—Insurance Operations, where he led the company's product and claims development and delivery, its customer service function and insurance sales efforts. As Business Technology Process Leader from 1998 through 2000, Mr. Renwick led the company's initiatives to develop and deploy technology to advance Progressive's business strategies. Prior to serving as Business Technology Leader, Mr. Renwick led the company's Consumer Marketing group in developing and communicating Progressive's consumer proposition—competitively-priced auto insurance that comes with 24/7, in-person services from a company that listens and responds to consumer needs. Mr. Renwick joined the company in 1986 as Auto Product Manager for Florida. In 1988, he became President of the several Mid-Atlantic states, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to assuming the Consumer Marketing role at the company's headquarters in Mayfield Village, Ohio, he served as President of the California Division in Sacramento, California.
Mr. Renwick earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand, and earned his master's degree in engineering from the University of Florida.
